🔨 The Nova library is growing every week

🔨 OneShot triggers are coming

🔨 Personal content and official licenced content is missing still

All the details

  • Soundboards are stored locally for now: This means they live on the device where you create them. In a future update, your Soundboards, favourites, and preferences will sync to your account so you can access them anywhere.
  • The Nova library is growing every week: We’re starting with fantasy, with Sci-Fi, Cthulhu, Cyberpunk and more to follow. As people use Nova, content will expand and improve based on feedback from you, the community.
  • OneShot triggers are coming: OneShots are a big thing for Syrinscape users. Nothing quite beats triggering a Wilhelm Scream when the evil wizard is yeeted off the cliff, or a sad trombone when a player rolls that natural 1. OneShots will be a big part of Nova as well.
  • Personal content and official licenced content is missing still: Your own personal SoundSets and our official licenced content are coming to Syrinscape Nova, soon. We are currently workshopping the best way to present these to keep everything you need close to hand with no unnecessary clutter.

How do I give feedback?

What's not working correctly at all? What feels janky? What should Syrinscape Nova be doing that it isn't already? Not all ideas will make it in, but don't stay silent! You just might be sitting on that piece of feedback that makes all the difference for the WHOLE Syrinscape community!

Syrinscape Nova FAQs

Syrinscape Nova is for Game Masters and players who want immersive, cinematic sound at their table without slowing the game down. It’s designed to let you focus on storytelling while sound responds instantly in the background.

Nova is designed for live play. You prepare as much or as little as you like. We would recommend creating a quick and dirty Soundboard with a few of the things you are likely to need during your upcoming session. Then trigger music and locations and creatures and effects from that Soundboard as needed. Once you've got a nice mix going, you can save that as a Scene for reuse later. When you discover something you are missing, it's really easy to pop into the Library and quickly add an extra location of music playlist. Syrinscape Nova runs directly in your browser so you can keep a tab open and pop over to that whenever you need to without breaking the flow of the game.

Yes. Nova is built to be fast and intuitive, so you can find and trigger sound instantly without interrupting your game. The goal is simple: no searching, no friction, no breaking immersion.

Nova is actively evolving. It is fully usable today, and we are continuously improving it with new features, content, and refinements based on real tabletop play. Our current target to remove that BETA badge is the end of 2026, but we'll no doubt have a good list of highly useful things to keep improving after that date still.

Currently, soundboards are stored on your local device. This means they are available instantly on that device, but will not yet sync across devices, and might get deleted by a cache or cookie clear or something else like that. In a future update, your soundboards, favourites, and preferences will be saved to your account so you can access them anywhere.

Nova is system-agnostic and works with any tabletop RPG. It is currently focused on fantasy content, with Sci-Fi, horror (including Cthulhu), and modern settings expanding over time.

Yes. The goal is for all Syrinscape content to be available in Nova, including official adventure support. We are also working on ways to make running published modules fast, clean, and easy to manage at the table.

Yes, that's why we've taken off the EARLY ACCESS badge and put on a BETA one instead. Nova is designed specifically for live tabletop use. It is continues to be actively developed and tested in real gameplay scenarios, with stability and speed being core priorities. That's one of the important things those subscription payments from our wonderful users supports!

Yes. Use the Share Audio button in the top right to generate a link for your players. They simply open that link in a browser, and they’ll hear the same immersive soundscape you’re running in your game in real time.

Yes. Nova is being built with the community. Feedback, ideas, and suggestions are actively welcomed and help shape the direction of the product.
