Every ambience in Nova is easily adjustable, so you can choose just the right mood to set the scene as your story unfolds.
Not just an MP3 loop.
A formidable amount of sound, organised for actual play. Open any section to see exactly what is waiting inside.
From welcoming taverns and sweeping exploration to desperate chases, epic battles and deeply unsettling dungeons.
No playlists match that search.
Hundreds of variations spanning settlements, wilderness, the underworld and even outer space.
No locations or variations match that search.
Lovingly crafted from hundreds of individual sounds: voices, movement, attacks, injuries and deeply unpleasant surprises.
No creatures or sounds match that search.
Howling wind, pleasant light rain, claps of thunder, clashing swords and the happy crackle of a campfire.
No effects or weather variations match that search.
Official Adventure content is coming soon to Nova. SuperSyrin already unlocks everything currently available in Nova—and every other Syrinscape experience.
Build a Scene from music, locations, creatures and effects. Save it to your account. When your players finally reach it—possibly three sessions later—the whole moment is waiting.
Logged-in Soundboards and Scenes save to Syrinscape’s servers. Your latest setup loads whenever you sign on any device.
Looped MP3s are an easy way to add a little atmosphere. Nova lets Game Masters go much further—drawing players deeper into the story and making it easy to adjust the sound mix as that story evolves.
| A fixed audio loop | Syrinscape Nova |
|---|---|
| Plays one mixed-down recording | Layers music, locations, creatures, weather and effects |
| Gives you only Play and Stop | Lets you change one layer while the rest of the scene continues |
| Repeats the same mix every time | Uses Syrinscape’s dynamic sound engine so the soundscape never plays exactly the same way twice |
| Gives you “a cave” | Lets you choose the cave you need: Very Very Quiet, The Depths, An Occasional Bat or Cavequake |
| Needs another file when combat begins | Keeps the tavern and goblins going while the music takes a serious turn |
| Cannot respond to the moment | Triggers smashes, spells, attacks and discoveries precisely when they happen |
Start useful. Expand enormously.

Early Nova users are already discovering how naturally it fits the changing needs of a live game.
“I genuinely love the direction this is going. The interface is a huge win. It feels purpose built for on the fly scene tuning.”ryatat
“Found Nova a couple days ago and absolutely love it! 😊”mettente
“I absolutely love this so far!!! I am really excited for the ambiance overlays… I can’t tell you how many times in a game I’m pulling up the Wind or Rain sound sets just to add in the weather appropriate for that day, or to create the effect of a thunderstorm rolling in, etc.”christopher_caldwell
Questions before the first click
Nova is for Dungeon Masters and Game Masters who want music, ambience and responsive sound at the table without slowing the game down. It works with D&D and tabletop RPGs of every system.
Nope. Start a piece of music, add a location, then bring in creatures, weather and effects as you need them. Nova is designed for live play, not audio engineering homework.
Anonymous users have access to seven hours of music, ten locations with numerous variations, foreshadowing and combat sounds for eight kinds of monsters, camping sounds, wind, rain and thunder. You can also use Share Audio to send your game sound to remote players.
Everything currently available in Nova: 80+ hour-long music playlists, 90+ customizable locations, 100+ monsters and their individual sounds, and 150+ effects and weather variations. SuperSyrin also unlocks everything throughout Syrinscape’s other players and experiences.
A Soundboard keeps the choices you expect to use in one place. Add useful subgroups—such as a complete Cave with its different variations—rather than adding every sound individually. When you have a mix you want to reuse, save the active music, location, creatures and effects together as a Scene.
When you are logged in, Nova saves your Soundboards and Scenes to your Syrinscape account. Changes upload automatically, and your latest saved version loads when you sign in or reload Nova. This means you can build on one device and continue on another. If you use Nova anonymously, your work is stored only in that browser and may be lost if you clear its Nova site data.
Yes. Choose Share Audio in Nova and send the generated link to your players. They open it in a browser and hear the soundscape you are directing in real time. This is available to anonymous free users as well as subscribers.
Official Adventure content is coming soon to Nova. Syrinscape’s existing players already include extensive official adventure support, and a SuperSyrin subscription unlocks all Syrinscape content subject to current product availability.
Yes. Nova is ready for live play today and we are working to leave beta as soon as possible. We continue to expand the Component Library and refine the experience using feedback from real games.
Nova’s Component Library is still evolving. We take care to preserve saved work, but a substantial beta library update may occasionally require part of a saved setup to be rebuilt. Review important Soundboards after major Nova updates before using them in a live session.
Nova works in current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows, macOS and Linux. Sound plays directly from the browser tab.
No. For eligible accounts, the current SuperSyrin introductory offer gives you the first month for US$6.50, then continues at US$12.99 per month under the current billing terms. Otherwise, the subscription page will show the best available offer for your account.
